Description says never used, $250 for everything. I have a Presto already but bigger batches and some redundancy could be nice. I am basically a beginner at canning, but, I’ve been a big freezer person for a decade or more. Kind of looks like an awesome set but at the same time I hate spending money on stuff that goes unused.

I know the All American doesn’t match the current model year picture but I’m not experienced enough to know what to look out for. The other two pots both have jar baskets pictured inside.

I have an induction cooktop so this would require me to switch to an outdoor or alternative stove setup.

What say ya’ll will I regret not buying these?

I haven’t checked prices in many years but that sounds like a lot for used.

Too much in my opinion. And I know some love the canner like that but I’ll stick with my Presto.

The pressure canner may be in poor maintenance and I’d want to get it checked with the extension depending on its age if I did buy it. But new, it’s probably about 100$. The pot on the far right looks like [this](https://www.menards.com/main/grocery-home/grocery/canning-supplies/granite-ware-reg-canner-with-jar-rack-21-5-quart/f0707-3/p-4364363666174485-c-1462209588021.htm?exp=false) canning pot to me, which is about 25$. The middle pot I don’t know, but I have my doubts it’s super special. So I think that’s quite overpriced at 250$.

Wow- that’s high. Especially for used. All of my water bath canners were given to me free, as well as all my PCs except one were given to me as well. People know I can so when “grandma” passes away, they track me down. I always take whatever they give and gift them to newbies starting out.

Half the people on here. Don’t know what they’re looking at. The pressure canner on the left makes that a good deal. Go for it.

If I had the money I’d snatch that in a heartbeat, I’d pay $250 just for the All American. The all American is now a $4-600 canner, looks like a 22 quart if I remember the size right… it’s the larger size for 2 layers of pints. Take it to the extension office, they’ll check the dial gauge for free. I have The large black enamel pot, found it at a thrift store without the rack for $15, but I use it more for shucking corn, processing large batches of tomatoes, etc. Basically a kitchen bucket with a lid. The smaller basic water bath pots are $50 last time I noticed at Walmart.

  8. If the one on the left is in good condition, that’s a good deal.

Otherwise, no. You can get the one on the right brand new for under $50, and that includes accessories.

ETA: I have the one on the right and have an induction cooktop and it works together (according to both manuals).

  9. I’ve never bought a used pressure canner or cooker because I’ve NO idea how abused it was in the past. Was it boiled dry and has tiny fractures in the canner?? Was it misused for other things that could cause damage you can’t obviously see?? Pressure cookers/canners really need to in perfect condition. Pots and pans not so scary, anything under high pressure is.

    Buy it..
Sell one of the water bath canners and your presto.

That will lower the price overall to make it a great deal

Do it! I just paid over $400 for a new All American (the one on the left). If I’d found a deal like this I would’ve taken it!
