    Instructions:
    1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
    2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
    3. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the mixture, beating well until fully combined.
    4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
    5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a smooth cookie dough forms.
    6. Fold in the rolled oats until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
    7. Now for the fun part! Choose your optional flavors and add-ins. Whether you love the classic combination of raisins and nuts, the sweetness of chocolate chips, or the rich flavor of butterscotch, customize your cookies by gently folding in your preferred extras.
    8. Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop rounded dough portions onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving enough space between each for spreading. You can shape them gently with your hands, or just leave them as is.
    9. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Baking them for 9-10 minutes will make them chewy, while baking them for 12 minutes will make them crispier.
    10. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely
