“Hello everyone – Hallo zusammen

Crunchy Simit – Crispy Simit

🇹🇷Ingredients:
200 ml lukewarm water (1 cup)
200 ml lukewarm milk (1 cup)
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon softened butter
20 g fresh yeast
3 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
Approximately 600-650 g flour (about 5 cups)
Add the flour carefully

1 teacup water (100ml)
1 teacup molasses (120ml)
A sufficient amount of roasted sesame seeds

Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine the ingredients needed for the dough and knead until you have a soft dough. If the dough sticks slightly to your hands, you can add a bit of oil to your hands to help shape the dough.
Cover and let it rest for 40-45 minutes.

Mix the water with molasses.

Divide the dough into 8-10 portions.
Roll each portion into a rope, then twist them together as shown in the video.
Dip the simits first in the molasses water, then in sesame seeds, and place them on a baking sheet. Let them rest for another 20 minutes with the cover on.
Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 230 degrees Celsius with the fan setting on, and place a pan of water (oven-safe) inside or select the steam function if available. Use your fingers to widen the center of the simits, and bake in the oven for about 13 minutes or until they turn golden brown.

– Approximately 450 g flour (close to 4 cups)
– 2 tbsp vegetable oil

– 0.75 tsp salt

For Layering:
– 150 g butter

3. Divide the dough into 8 portions.

4. Roll out each portion individually to the size of a dessert plate. Brush it with the oil mixture, make cuts as shown in the video, and fold it. After folding, wait for 10-15 minutes for the oil to solidify.

5. Roll it out with a rolling pin and cook it in a non-stick pan, flipping it occasionally. After one side is cooked, brush it with the oil mixture. Then, flip it again and grease the other side.

Enjoy your delicious Katmer!

  1. THE WESTERN MEDIA IS HIDING WHATS ACTUALLY HAPPENING IN P@LEST*NE!!!! 💔
I’m here to raise awareness about the recent events in P@lest*ne. A recent incident involving a hospital bom/b*ng is being misrepresented. Contrary to reports, the I*D*F, not H@m@s, dropped the bo/mb. Media manipulation has obscured the truth. I*D*F claimed they bOM/BED the hospital, stating it was to provide a “peaceful de@th” due to lack of medical equipments because Isr@el has banned P@lest*nes from their basic human rights (food, water, electricity & medical aid). Old bo/mb*ing videos are being spread on social media about the mis-SILE that “H@m@-s” f*ired changed routes, that is false information because the video goes back to 7-7-2022. I*D*F also warned G@z@ residents to leave to south of G@z@, but then bo/m*bed them as they fled. It’s crucial not to be misled by the media; much of what happens in P@lest*ne goes unreported especially in the European region. Educate yourself, READ!
