I’ve made this numerous times in the oven. Decided to try on the egg. I also changed my signature recipe and went a different route. This turned out way better than all the rest I’ve made in the past. Instead of using butchers twine I reused the netting it came with.
I lightly oiled with olive oil then used a prime rib seasoning blend and added extra granulated garlic on the inside and outside then ziplock overnight. This morning took it and gently pat away some of the extra seasoning then covered completely in mustard and added more of the prime rib blend with more garlic, a lil cayenne. Set indirect at 325-350 for about 45 minutes then turned over. I also basted with fresh rosemary, thyme, minced garlic and butter. Let me know what you think.
