I acquired the second hand vintage mirro-matic pessure canner to use to make grain spawn to grow oyster mushrooms. The jars of grain can be sterilized at ten or fifteen psi for different amounts of time.
The canner came with this jiggler weight that weighs 3.5 ounces. I cannot get a clear answer as to how many psi this weight will create.
Also how can I tell if the bolt in overpressure release valve is good or not? Its there but doesn’t move. Pics below. Thanks!
