HUMO offers two menus: picture one is Abajo by HUMO, a chef’s table experience, picture two is the regular menu. I will be talking mostly about Abajo by HUMO, but the lamb from the regular menu was the best lamb I’ve ever had. Both experiences were incredible.
Abajo by HUMO would already stand out by its unique method of curating dishes. It offers 5 steps, each step contains multiple courses that focus on different seasonal ingredients. I’m not usually a turbot person, but the turbot I had here was exceptional, it was my favorite course of the night. Both menus excel at using smoke, even one of the cocktails that I ordered proofed this. Generally, Abajo by HUMO celebrates chef’s Italian heritage with Japanese influences.
What also made me fell in love with this place was the unusual flavor combinations. HUMO just opened in January this year and has already proven to be one of the best restaurants in London.

I love those index cards. They remind me of Steirereck Vienna’s cards that look like this: https://imgur.com/f8AxXvm — it’s a little wikipedia with every course. I didn’t keep those, but I would totally keep the Abajo ones due to the drawings (if they let you have them!)
