I’m sure lots of tools “get the job done”, but what can stake a claim as the best?

I use the Weber Kamado. Stainless grates. It feels like I am missing the right tool.

I’m using a “double-helix” brush with no bristles, but it seems like it doesn’t really do anything. It looks like this: [https://www.bbqguys.com/brushtech/21-inch-quad-spring-safety-double-helix-bristle-free-bbq-grill-b411c](https://www.bbqguys.com/brushtech/21-inch-quad-spring-safety-double-helix-bristle-free-bbq-grill-b411c)

I also use a cleaning bar that ends up doing most of the work. It looks like this: [https://www.bbqguys.com/primo/grate-cleaning-bar-pg00770](https://www.bbqguys.com/primo/grate-cleaning-bar-pg00770)

Sometimes after I’ve preheated the grill I grip some paper towel in a tong and just run it along the grates to pick up old grease and grime.

High heat and then before next cook use a brush with course plastic bristles.

the best is to spray Easy Off on it and put it in a garbage bag for a few hours then use a pressure washer on it. They will look brand new…

But that isn’t practical for regular use. For regular use, high heat after cooking for 15 mins, then let it cool and use a nylon brush. Steel brushes are more effective, but do pose a potential health risk if bristles fall off
