Hi all,

I’m slow cooking some roast beef for the family on Christmas eve. We couldn’t get a big joint so we got 2 smaller ones (both around a kilo each). Im planning on following the BBC good food recipe (or near enough):

https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/slow-cooker-beef-joint

My question is, would it be ok to cook them both in the slow cooker together (they do fit!) and if so what changes to the recipe would you make to accommodate for 2 joints/double the weight? I read elsewhere online not to change the amount of stock/water and just allow extra time for cooking- as a complete newbie any rough guide of how long extra to allow would be massively appreciated.

Much slow cooked love!

You’re good with your recipe and with two roasts in one crockpot. I like to put two roasts in mine too – one beef and one pork. They lend great flavor to each other. I’d cook for about 9-10 hours on low.
