Hi Everyone!

I want to share a family-owned a authentic cheap Fuzhounese restaurant that has been around at Chinatown for over 20 years now. It’s frustrating to see how my parents are keeping this business alive while funding me for college. We are located at 67 E Broadway New York, NY 10002 and my recommendations are

Wonton Soup $3.25

Peanut Noodles $3.50

Fried Taro Cake $1.50

Potato Meet ball $5

If you’re ever near Chinatown please drop by! It’s less than $10 per person and it would be the most authentic Fuzhounese food!

You can find us here on Yelp – we do have two names QQ Cafe & Shui Mei Cafe

I’ll come try when I’m back in town 🙂
I’m noticing the two names as well, but I also do see that on apple maps neither name is appearing when zooming in on the map.
Listing management like this can make or break a business and entities like Google and Yelp may not be indexing you as highly due to the naming confusion.
I’d try some small social media marketing campaigns but also just name dropping this restaurant on relevant social posts etc so the name gets picked up more for Fuzhounese or cheap NYC eats.

thanks for letting me know, i will head over for breakfast on monday!

  4. Looks delicious! I’ll be sure to come around. What the heck is lamb or beef “in a can”??

I was here a few weeks ago while buying tea nearby. Had soup with mutton and dumplings and it was outstanding.

I think if you add more images to google and the menu it will make it easier for people unfamiliar with Fuzhounese to order. Personally, as someone who doesn’t speak Chinese but likes to eat traditional deep cuts, it’s helpful to know what I’m ordering so I can get deeper into the menu.

What are your favorite dishes that they serve? I’ll stop by next week.

Live around the corner will come by for sure. Always in search for the best peanut noodle. That scaffolding can’t help business

  7. This place is legit, used to come when I was a college student with my FJ (Fujianese) friend. She was the one who recommended it and I am surprised the prices are still so affordable after all these years!

  8. From a business perspective, I think they need to raise their prices. I’d be worried eating at a place .. that cheap.

There is a perceived value and such a thing as being *too cheap*.

Figure out how they can add value to their customer experience with minimal cost, get the pics and listings updated, as ask anyone dining in how their experience was. If they say great, ask for reviews. If not, note their experience and work on it.

The thing about food is that if it’s genuinely good, people will come back time and time again. They will also spread the word.

  9. Do you guys sell the Fuzhounese shrimp bagel thing? I see the pictures of the Fried Taro triangles.

I remember when the store was half the size and a competitor opened up right next to it. Then it combined into one, what is the story behind that?

went there, peanut noodles 14 was great. the juicy pork buns, 22 was not. such a tiny little ball of meat inside a tasteless dough ball. they were very bland and tasted of cooking water. I almost ordered the pickled pork soup. What would you suggest I get?

  15. I gave you guys a 5 star review on Yelp in 2018!!! (Scott X)…Live on the west coast now and seriously miss me some Fuzhou food… Can’t wait to stop by again next time I’m in the city!!!
