I don’t like pickled bologna, but my spouse and their dad do, so we decided to make some for Christmas (our first time doing anything like this) and I’m really nervous, is it supposed to be that cloudy? 😅

Did you can it and stick it on a shelf in the basement or did you pickle it and put it in the fridge?

It looks terrible. This is just not right at all. Who eats pickled bologna? 🤣 I guess I ate so much bologna as a kid because we were so poor I can’t even stomach the stuff let alone pickle it.

It looks like botulism to me.

My post was removed by the mods for calling into question the practice of pickling bologna. They claimed it contained ” rudeness, personal attacks, or harassment.”
I would therefore like to offer my most sincere apologies to all forms of bologna everywhere. Had I known the mods here were especially sensitive to the plight of pickled bologna I would have refrained from questioning it’s existence.
I am a reformed person and have seen the light. I will no longer delve into the evil ways of bologna bashing.
Excellent attention to detail mods, keep up that great work that makes r/canning so proud of you all.

No. Throw it all out forever. Not canning advice, just life advice.
