Upon entering, we were warmly greeted and led to the table. I ordered an electric margarita, which the bartender performed and produced directly at our table. The cocktail was smooth and delicate.
The appetizers consisted of many small bites of which were fantastic. Each tasted fresh and distinct. However, one small bite which was wagyu tartar sandwiched between two Parmesan biscuits did not stood out. This luxurious Oreo tasted exactly as a cheez it.
Moving on from the small bites, we had many following appetizers, which were great, especially the muscle three ways. Words can’t describe the odd and beautiful dish, but I can describe the ones that did not particularly stood out. The uni egg and uni chawanmushi featured uni cooked with an egg in different ways, but I was only able to taste the egg and not the freshness and sweetness of the uni.
The main course featured scallop, sea bass, and duck of which were all fantastic and incorporated many different components on each plate.
I have to say the highlight of this meal would be the dessert. The chocolate mousse featured many components: ice cream, chip, coconut sauce, chocolate mousse. The chocolate flavors were rich but not overly sweet. It is well accompanied by the flavor of coconut and vanilla ice cream and the many components each have their own texture. One of the best chocolate dishes I have tasted in all of Southern California.
