Visited NYC 2 weeks ago and went to Gage & Tollner for dinner, with a stop at Sunken Harbor Club before our reservation. There was a long line to get into the bar upstairs and we arrived right at 5:00 but we got in fairly quickly and were able to enjoy a couple of drinks! We had the Yellow Tang, Special Daiquiri, Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner and the Nelson’s Blood.

We’re tourists so not sure where this ranks for locals but we really enjoyed our entire experience. We had the wedge salad (amazing!) and the mushroom app (also amazing!) to start. We also got one of the specials which was scallops with cauliflower (good but not great). We shared the bone-in ribeye and the potato stack with caviar (both delicious). For dessert we had the coconut layer cake (I didn’t really care for this but my husband thought it was good).

It was a really fun night out. Dinner was $450 before tip so definitely a little bit of a splurge but we loved the historical aspects of the building and the service was pretty much perfect. I just thought I’d share our experience in case anyone was thinking of going!
