I’ve made like 15 batches of ice cream no problem. Now this morning my batch is not churning like it normally does. This picture is after 12 Minutes, usually it’s all puffed up by now.

The freezer bowl was in my freezer for multiple days, I used 1.75 cups cream to 2.25 cups milk

Please remember to share the recipe you used or how you think it turned out. If you are uncomfortable sharing your recipe, please share some tips or help people create their own recipe. If you are not satisfied yet please mention what is wrong/could be improved. This is a lot more interesting for everyone then just a picture.

You didn’t share your recipe so no one can comment on that but maybe your freezer wasn’t as cold as you thought? Door ajar or power was off for a little while? For your recipe maybe too much sugar?

UPDATE: I churned it an extra 5 minutes but it still didn’t get to the thickness it usually does. I could almost pour it into the container instead of scooping as I usually do. I can only guess it’s because the freezer bowl didn’t get cold enough. The ice cream didn’t stick to the sides like it usually does. Could I have added too much alcohol (vanilla extract)? How will it turn out?

I had this same problem and it was because I kept the bowl in the front of the freezer and it wasn’t able to get cold enough. Had to move it to the back of the freezer
