I have been trying to eat up these canned potatoes my grandma had made and the last two times I had them I have felt sick afterward (sluggish, nauseous) the first time I thought because I also had a migraine but I tried again today and don’t know if it’s me being paranoid or they are bad.
I only had a couple both times not the whole can.
Have been looking on this sub to see you’re not supposed to can potatoes with the skin on because botulism. Please tell me they are okay?

The actual seal of the jar is fine, no popping nothing

  1. You’re right that potatoes should be peeled before canning to reduce bacterial load. This was not prepared by following a safe, tested recipe. If you’re not feeling well after eating them, you should probably discard them regardless of whether or not they were canned properly.
