It’s time to learn how to make another Persian recipe from my Persian girlfriend and today we’re tackling Shear B Shear means milk oh and beden means rice Persian rice pudding zoya’s mom has instructed me to rub the rice between my hands to start to break it

Down the rice goes in a pot along with 3 cups of whole dairy milk this is not the time for Alternatives trust zoya’s mom and cook over low heat until nice and thick unsalted butter heavy cream rose water and a dash of cardamom ooh she is

Thick now pop that in the fridge to cool a scoop a little bit of cinnamon okay a lot of cinnamon honey for sweetness and chopped pistachios there’s only one thing left to do Zoya what did you make for me it’s a lot of cinnamon I messed

Up it’s really good M milky creamy Rich sweet just like me enough you’re done

  1. How cool! Looks amazing! In my culture we have arroz con leche but it’s sweetened with condensed milk it’s my comfort dish in the winter

  2. The Afghan version is slightly different we pour melted butter all over it and add sugar to the rice while cooking 😊

  3. I get this from the middle eastern market in my city a lot. I know the family who runs it is Lebanese so it may be a slightly different recipe but they told me it had no dairy when I asked and I was getting it when I was vegan

  4. Alex is so insanely beautiful i have watched her online for years and i fawn over her every time she comes up on my feed she is so talented and cool and sweet and pretty and just wow. Huge slay

  5. We make it in Palestine too, but in a different way. We call it "roze be haleeb," which means rice with milk, i made it yesterday, my favorite dessert ❤
