To make the Crispy Smashed Potatoes Recipe, you will need:
baby potatoes
boiling water
salt to taste
olive oil
black pepper
red pepper flakes
dried oregano
dried basil
garlic powder
optional: spring onions, parsley and red chilli for garnishing
This crispy roasted garlic potatoes recipe is so easy to make but definitely a crowd pleaser as they taste just amazing. It is the perfect potato side dish that you can make with baby potatoes or new potatoes (also called aloo or batata). Today we will show you how to make crispy smashed potatoes Welcome to the Don Imran Family Kitchen today we are going to show you how to make smashed potatoes so let’s continue with the video baby potatoes with skins on boil for 15 to 20 minutes (until potatoes are soft) salt to taste
Drain the potatoes place on a baking tray lined with baking paper use a potato masher or a glass to ‘smash’ the potatoes generously drizzle olive oil generously add salt black pepper red pepper flakes garlic powder dried oregano dried basil bake in a preheated oven at 250c (either top grill or middle oven)
For about 15 minutes …or until the tops become crispy turn the potatoes over season the other sides with salt black pepper red pepper flakes olive oil place back in the oven for another 12 to 15 minutes until golden and crispy garnish with… spring onions parsley red chilies

I discovered that if you smash them with the glass in stages the potato will not stick to the bottom of the glass. Just smash partially at first and repeat until you get to your desired thickness
