someone gave me these homemade canned olives. just opened the jar. will these kill me? thanks!

i don’t know the answers to any of the mod questions other than it seemed real sealed before i opened it. was hard to twist and made a sucking pop sound when i got it open.

Is that hardened olive oil on top, due to low temps, or is that mold growth??? Do you know if it is a safe tested recipe?
