I’ve got some small bubbles forming in a jar of strawberry jam I purchased about 8 months ago. Jar’s from a small farm (which is why I put ‘commercial’ in quotes), and has been stored on a shelf in my basement since purchase. Ingredients are strawberries, cane sugar, and pectin.
I’m inclined to err on the side of caution and just toss it and go buy another, but I’m on my last jar and it’s a 5 hour round trip to get more from the same place.
