70 is young. What a shame.

So sad. Influenced me on eating well in downtown NYC. A toast to you, chef. RIP.

Best meal I’ve ever had was at his Bouley at Home pop-up. Very sad.

Ugh, what a loss. RIP Chef.
I went to Bouley years ago and still dream about their bread cart.

About a decade ago Bouley had a prix fix lunch menu that was relatively cheap for a Michelin star restaurant (around $60 or so). I was a broke college student and saved up to take my boyfriend there for a graduation present. It was my first ever fine dining experience and one I’ll never forget. RIP Bouley

The first fine dining experience I remember well was at Bouley as a teenager. My mom had been hyping this restaurant for years, and we finally went, and it was a totally novel and delicious experience- shaped the course of my life. RIP.

RIP. This makes me legitimately sad. Bouley’s prix fix lunch back in 2015 was super affordable for someone a few years out of college getting into the world of fine dining. I won’t ever forget that huge wall of apples at his original restaurant in Tribeca that made the whole room smell of apples and of course that porcini flan which I still dream of

Went to Secession years ago, such an excellent experience. Since then visited several other of his restaurants. RIP.
