Hi all!
On our journey to become less reliant on the grocery stores, and eat healthier, we now exclusively use homemade veggie stock (vegan household).
I seem to struggle with cleaning the sieve effectively, everytime I use it! How do you all clean your sieve effectively??
TIA!

I just flip it over and rinse the crumbs out then stick it in the dishwasher 🤷
Helps if you have a spray wand. Turn it upside down and spray it out. Blue soapy scrubby lightly on fine sieves if you don’t have or want to use the dishwasher.
Flip it over under a running faucet immediately after use. Use a dish brush to brush out the bits and pieces. Toss in the dishwasher.
I whack it against the side of the sink pretty hard to knock any loose stuff out, then give it a scrub from the outside with a scrubby. It also goes through the dishwasher. There are two layers of screen on this one, and it seems like, although it strains really well, sh*t gets stuck.
Water
suuuuuper hot water!! i used to struggle getting mine squeaky clean, but now my water heater is turned up super high (halfway is as far as you need it, full heat is almost simmering)
saves hot water for the household and makes cleaning dishes unbelievably easy. i can burn sugar onto cast iron and just sitting under hot water long enough gets EVERYTHING off
