The croissants at Librae (instagram @libraebakery) have incredible flavor, great flake (I’m not a super-flake guy), but of the “top croissants” I’ve tried so far, it’s the only one that I’ve felt was way too greasy feeling.

I still haven’t found a croissant in the city that I like more than La Cabra. The dill feta scone at Librae is fire though

I need to go back here! I went not too long after they started but they didn’t have any croissants left, so I got a bunch of their tahini cookies, which honestly were just okay but maybe I waited too long to eat them (end of day). That being said other baked goods have kept super well (eg Radio Bakery) at the same time frame. Regardless, need to go back to try their basic croissant and compare it to the other faves of the city!

Favorite croissants I think are also a little personal, like a favorite slice of pizza. Greasy, flaky, airy, crunchy, bready? People will go after diff things as their favorite.

I like Librae but found their croissants and breads, both sourdough and challah , to be too salty.

Yes the plain croissant while flaky us also greasy (and salty).

I loved the feta dill scones and rosemary swizzle(seasonal).

Pistachio rose croissant, white chocolate halvah croissant, lemon curd filled babka, and zaatar morning bun were all absolute 🔥🔥🔥

Can’t wait to go back. Gotta lose a few pounds first….

When will this place have employees (or a pick up system) that take more than one customer every 4 minutes

  8. eat some pastries from there today and they had great flavor but 3/4 were uncooked in the middle. disappointing

i love plain butter croissants! my favorites are from la cabra and lafayette grand cafe.

i was wondering about the librae’s. i’ve had their pistachio rose before but it was too greasy for me. made me not want to try their plain one. but i do love their scones!

Chanson is the best in the city hands down. I have a few Parisians who will back me up on that.

Interesting. I had the espresso chocolate croissant there and it was an absolute grease bomb.

They’re been on my list for a while, I’ll have to check it out.
Since you’re trying out different bakeries, I quite like the croissant from Le Fournil!
