    Not sure where my comments went in original post so posting them here:

    Thought I’d share some pics from an absolutely outstanding meal at Aska in NY about a week ago.

    I am missing a couple of courses in the pictures (i think my wife has them..will have to check).

    Pictured:

    – Custard with lobster claw, elderflower and trout roe

    – Trout with white currant and fried lichen

    – langoustine, sauce from shells and red gooseberry

    – Hake with beluga caviar, dill and dark beer. Served with malted barley bread

    – Roasted Quail with hen of the woods, black and white truffles and walnut sauce

    – Venison with a sunchoke and leek stuffed morel

    – Caramalized ice cream and walnut tart

    – Desert spread!

    Overall this was fantastic across the board. I love the elegant and dark feel of the dining room and impeccable service. Bordering on a third star I think.

    The Hake and the Venison were standouts to me but every course was excellent.
