  1. Thank you for your question. You can certainly leave the celery salt out, if you are not a fan of flavor.

  2. For some reason I can not make potato salad thanks for sharing your recipe.. My comes out gluey ,mushy and lacks flavor what am I doing wrong…

  3. Thanks for your question. Gluey and mushy potatoes is usually a sign that the potatoes have been overcooked. Try this recipe and cook until just tender but still firm, about 15 minutes. Drain the potatoes and cool them completely before you peel and chop them. Hope this helps-enjoy 🙂

  4. Do you people not have a egg slicer?   Those work very well, plus it cuts them to a good size for a salad

  5. When my dad wants to make potato salad he takes the raw potato and puts it on a skewer. Then he covers the potato in mayonnaise and digs in! Sometimes he even used them to clean it the gutters or vacuum cleaner!!

  6. that's not old fashioned potato salad. its not made from scratch. home made mayo ( egg yolk and veggie oil and vinegar)

  7. I don't know why you're calling this "old fashioned" potato salad. (??). There's nothing old fashioned about it. This is basically how everyone makes potato salad nowadays (give or take an ingredient here or there). For real old fashioned potato salad, you have to make a cooked dressing using flour, sugar, egg yolks, vinegar, butter, and mustard.

  8. almost 10 minutes, is what I do for medium soft boiled eggs, if you want them hard boiled off the burner, you need about 20 minutes sitting in the hot water, and you don't have to take it off the burner, just turn it off. I remember my Grandmother used this way of doing hard boiled eggs, and it was left in the pan for 20 minutes.
