Raspberry jam, about 7 years old; wax capped. I’ve eaten them up to now without issue but this jar looks very strange.
The outside and top of the jar developed this white compound. I thought it might be cristalización of sugar but fear it could be a bacterial colony.
Safe to eat?

If you have to ask, throw it away. I wouldn’t trust that jar with my health.
