Not sure if this qualifies but Paradiso is largely considered one of the top 5 bars in the world. I’m glad that I waited 2 hours for the experience. I’ve included a picture of just a few of the drinks with the official description following.

Were they the best drinks I’ve ever had? Close. Were they the most creative drinks I’ve ever had? By a mile.

The flower on the first drink had a temporary novacane like effect when you nibbled on it that changed the taste of the drink quite dramatically.

10/10 would recommend and I would gladly go back.

Paradiso is great.  We went maybe 5-6 years ago, and it wasn’t terribly difficult then to get in.  We asked outside for a seat and got two seats at the bar, which was cool to see the bartenders in action.

We had recommended the place to two friends of ours on their honeymoon, and they said that there were incredibly long lines.  They had to abandon ship.

After Paradiso we went to Dr Stravinsky and then Dux, which I recommend to you in the area.  Got turnt that night with my wife; it was our last night in town, actually the last night we were ever in Barcelona.

Flower is called a buzz button/toothache plant

  3. I went to Sips in Barcelona earlier this year, ranked number one in that worlds best 50 bars list. It was good but I didn’t think it was so special to be ranked the top bar in the world according to some ppl. I wanted to go to Paradiso too but could only fit one cocktail place in during that trip.

  4. Planning on going here and Sips when we go to Barcelona later this year. Very excited to try it out. Curious if anyone has done Sips Esencia which is basically a cocktail tasting menu

Why do they call the Voyager _”voyage”_?

  6. We went to both Paradiso and Sips last year, and they were both mid at best. Sips was a little better than Paradise, but neither proved worth our time. After both trying two drinks at each, we left for better bars. When we were at Paradiso, several of the other first-in patrons abandoned hope after their second drink as well.
The problem we had with both was that there was no nuance or balance to the flavors they were combining. They essentially taste like boozy juice. If you know nothing about cocktails and don’t frequent top bars, I can see the appeal. They are both certainly unique experiences and seem high end to the common consumer/tourist. However, if you know your way around a cocktail menu, temper your expectations.

  7. The last time I was in there, we were drinking something that came out of the hind quarters of a trojan horse at 2 or 3 in the morning. Good times.
