Superb meal last night on the first anniversary of 8 being open. It’s a super intimate venue where you start with drinks and snacks upstairs and then move into counter dining where two chefs each serve their own counter of 8. The food is really, really good – highlights last night being the tuna taco appetiser bite, stone bass with a tikka masala sauce, a miniature flatbread with heaps of wild garlic and one of the best ragus I’ve ever tasted, and a tiramisu bread. Service is slick and cocktails are really good – for me the wine is hit and miss so if they can get that nailed then I reckon they might be on for Liverpool’s first Michelin star.
