This is probably a long shot, but here goes.
I have a Hamilton Beach Flexbrew that has been great for many years. Last week my 2.5 year old was "helping" in the kitchen and deposited a couple coins in the water reservoir for the single serve part of the machine.
I thought this would be an easy fix, as there is a screw clearly holding the reservoir grate in place. I assumed I could just remove the screw and lift the grate out. However, upon removing said screw, I discovered that you can't actually lift out the grate because of the lid. You can only lift the grate a couple cm in the front (not enough for the coins to escape), and the back end is blocked by the lid. I dont see a way to remove the lid with either A.) breaking it or B.) prying off the entire top plastic framing and praying I that doesn't break and ruin the whole machine.
Any thoughts on how to get these coins out? Should I bite the bullet and snap off the lid? Or is these a simpler solution I'm not seeing?

Magnet?
Turn it upside down and try to shake em out?
You could just pop the lid out with a flathead screwdriver right?
