Second burger kind of started falling apart, but after some highly scientific research I’ve concluded I prefer veggies to go on top.

Also preferred bun? I’ve been going back and forth between potato, brioche, and onion buns; but I think potato buns are best paired with the Oklahoma smash burgers that I do. They can soak up so much and never get soggy! Toasted first, of course.

Bottom of the burger, if particularly saucy or greasy, this way the bun doesn’t get too soggy or fall apart too quickly. Most of the time I do not have any veggies on my burger aside from pickles or onions.

Lettuce on bottom so it creates a barrier from the juicy burger getting the bun soggy, and tomato on top, the wetness from the tomato mixes with your condiment(s). Fin.

I think it loses a lot of flavor if they don’t go on top.

if you put the toppings underneath the burger patty you’re breaking the laws of grammar and reality.

I want my ltop under the patty so the cheese doesnt cool off.

Try it both ways but lettuce is better on top furthest away from the patty. If you put it underneath the patty or directly touching the patty it warms up and can lose some of the crunch.

Bun sauce pickle onions burger cheese tomato lettuce sauce bun.

But honestly nothing really works unless you wrap the burger

Top…salad would get too hot underneath it and wilt.

They’re called “toppings” for a reason.

Veggies on top, flip upside down to eat. As it is written, so shall it be.

I go bottom bun, sauce, best maid pickles, burger, tomato, lettuce, onion, sauce, top bun. If I use caramelized onions, I put those on the meat patty and melt the cheese over them.

The reason it’s falling apart is because you put the heavier items being the meat and cheese on top. Veggies on top will make a more bottomheavy and thus stable sandwich.

  13. Top.. But a combo works too.. Lettuce and tomato on the bottom, pickles and onions on top..

Extra thin slice of tomato, I don’t care where. No lettuce. Tasteless and unnecessary. If I want crunch, that’s where the bacon comes in.

  15. MuskokaGreenThumb

Makes zero difference either way. It’s still going in your mouth all together so will taste the same

They’re toppings. It’s in the name

I kinda lean towards three patties, jalapeño slices in between, lettuce at the bottom, thick sliced red or white onion and pickle slices with tomato and another layer of lettuce under the bun

Only way I want lettuce on my burger is if in making it. I cannot stand a soggy ass burger

  19. ryoon4690

I put onions on the bottom bun and then the burger with everything else on top.

  20. Overdose08

Whatever bun I put the condiments on. I just want the lettuce to stick and not slide all over the place.

I gotta go with top bro… that’s a great lookin burger.

  22. Critical_Tomatillo36

Toppings on top. When you bite burger is closest to your tongue (taste buds)
