I bought a wooden board to make Cavatelli. It was like $10 off Amazon. It works but the pasta will get stuck at times. I’ve tried flouring the board but it doesn’t do much. It’s not the end of the world it’s just kind of annoying. Troubleshooting ideas? Is my dough maybe too wet? Is the board crappy? Does this just kinda happen?

  1. Is the surface a little bit rough?

I’d hit it with some really fine sandpaper, maybe taped to something thin like a butter knife.

If you knock it down to being very smooth, the dough will have less to grab.

  2. Using mineral oil to season it like you would with cutting boards and other wood kitchen stuff might make it a little more nonstick over time
