Peach and Berries in homemade pie crust yes or no combination?

  3. Peach + berries = deliciousness

    The pastry looks underbaked and leaky, though. Roll it out more so you can fold it over the filling some — that should help the crust hold its shape better and provide better containment.

    Agree with someone up top, egg wash it and add some Demerara sugar to the crust or maybe a bit of brown sugar crumble topping sporadically on top. Yum

    This isn’t a new flavor combination, lol. Crust loves too blonde. I’d still eat it.

  6. Yes, delicious combo. The tartness of the berries get a nice balanced flavor from the sweetness of the stone fruit.

    It looks great! I do a nectarine and blackberry crisp all the time and it’s both delicious and looks beautiful once baked and cut

    I like stone fruit combos but also like peaches with most any other fruit. This looks really good

    Not sure… let me eat the whole thing in one sitting and then I’ll let you know. Get in my belly!! (But an egg wash would take it up several notches. And give it about 5 more in the oven.)

  12. Definitely! Here, when peaches are in season I always make peach/raspberry crumble top pie, or my favorite, peach/ blackberry. Oddly I never pair it with blueberries but make blueberry crumble or crumble top pie. I think it’s obvious I’m not a pie crust fan, so only do bottom crust.
