I used King Arthur’s yeasted donut recipe. I had to tweak it a little with 1/4 – 1/3 cup more flour during kneading, and I kneaded the dough for 12 minutes in a stand mixer opposed to 8-10. I raised the dough in warm area for 1 hour, then cut and raised the donuts in a steamy oven with the oven light on for 1 more hour. I fried the donuts in my little 3 quart, $30 tabletop fryer that has a temperature controller at 350 F. I feel like making donuts at home is useless on stovetop because the temperature is too difficult to control.

The glaze:
1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp light corn syrup
1 tbsp water
Heat for 30 seconds in microwave, stir until all of the chocolate chips and butter are melted. Heat for an additional 15 seconds to fully melt chocolate if needed.

Wow that looks beautiful 😍
Yes!!! Beautiful!
Oh hell yeah. I bet they put Dunkin’ to shame!
I can feel the cloud like texture from here. Cartoon level cute and perfectly executed.
This is like the canonical, Platonic ideal of a donut.
