Spaghettini looks weird, never seen pasta this way before. Should I eat it?

  1. Looks perfect to me. Pasta extruded through bronze dies has that texture usually. It’s a sign of a good product.

Yeah, that’s just the texture from a bronze die. That’s why they always say, “it grabs the sauce.”

Lmfao, bro just accidentally discovered the superior pasta.

The idea of coming across proper bronze cut pasta and thinking something is wrong with it is so funny to me.

Hahahaha oops, I grew up poor so my mom only bought cheap store brand food. To think I almost threw it in the garbage!

That’s how it is SUPPOSED to look. The more textured it is the more starch it will release and the more coherent your sauce will be.

    Hello!
I get that you didn’t know about bronze extrusion.
To complete what others said, it is not only ok to eat, it is also BETTER than smooth pasta, as the texture clings to sauce.
Bronze extrusion is more expensive because it is slower. So if the teflon extrusion was better and cheaper, bronze would have disappeared 🙂

If you want to see if the difference is enough for you, prepare two small batches, some sauce you like, and pour the same amount on both, and compare.

With the bronze extruded pasta, you are less likely to have a puddle of sauce at the bottom of your plate when finished 🙂

Also, if you are inexperienced with pasta, try some linguine. They are like spaghetti, but a bit wider, with an oval section rather than a round one. They are amazing to get the Al dente finish.

    Cheers!

    Looks like good quality
    Pasta in colour and texture.

There’s no going back to cheap pasta once you’ve tried the good stuff, so yeah, maybe you should think twice before eating this.

This is what the pasta I make looks like 👍
