I’m a fan of making these for their crispy edges, and fun, puffy, folds. They always seem to have a mind of their own when it comes to rising. This one decided to go full inverted volcano on me! Made it easy to pile on the berries and banana slices, a little powder sugar and lemon to finish it off. Anybody else get some weird shapes like this?

Dutch Babies are my favorite! Yes, they puff as they like. Yours has a cool-looking and high rise to it. I also see that as a great success as long as the center interior wasn’t dried out completely. I still like the center to be a little moist.
That’s a yuge Yorkshire Pudding looking thing. Just yuge.
that ain’t a baby that’s at least a Dutch TEENAGER
Wear it like a hat
Looks delicious!
German pancake? German pancakes are thin and unleavened
This is absolutely a unit of a yorkshire pudding and nothing more.
What is that recipe?
It’s beautiful!
Definitely a record poof factor on this one – I don’t think I’ve ever seen the center poof like that. What oven rack were you using?
Incredible! It looks like a kiddie pool
That is wild, for sure! I’ve never seen one like it! It’s like a fruit bowl for your dining room table!
Looks normal to me. Bring on the lemon juice and powdered sugar!
Congratulations on the newborn full grown dutch man
Is the texture inside like… puff pastry? Or maybe like a soufflé…? Never eaten but everytime I see them presented, sweet or savory, I’m intrigued! Looks great 👍🏾
My cat would absolutely nap in that.
That baby’s about to graduate from college.
I didn’t know Dutch babies were baked so this looked even more cartoonish to me.
Dutch DADDY
I thought this was a giant Yorkshire pudding
It looks like your pan is not large enough for the amount of ingredients you used, which is why it will rise this high. Otherwise it looks normal.
people eat Yorkshire puddings with sweet toppings??????? they belong with gravy and a Sunday roast
Its lokks very yummy and also creative
Why is it called Dutch baby? I’m Dutch and I have never seen or even heard of this
Looks like a massive yorkshire pudding!! Same same??
