The little fried potatoes you see on here are called teezers. They are filled with potatoes cheese and jalapenos and can definitely say that when cooked right, it's the best burger I've ever had. From Submarine House, local chain in Ohio.

Any time I’ve tried a burger with a unique topping it kinda seemed gimmicky to me. That is to say it didn’t really add anything to the burger. The most uncommon toppings I enjoy from time to time are chili, pineapple and egg (not on the same burger).

Peanut butter paired with bacon. Bring forth the down votes, but I love it.

Spicy Kimchi – not normally done, but it’s great when I have it.

Not actually a topping, but the one thing I do ‘different’ with my burgers is to pop a little soy sauce into the meat. Super tasty.

I put fries on all my burgers, always have.

But I love putting garlic bacon hash browns and a fried egg on burgers.

I’ve also enjoyed a few burgers with fried bananas and peanut butter.

And last month I made a burger with candied dried cranberries, feta, spinach, and walnuts that blew my mind.

Pizza toppings (sauce, peppers, pepperoni and mozzarella/pepper jack cheeses) baked on. If I get fast food, I order a breakfast sausage patty on top instead of bacon and it’s SOoo delicious.

Onion straws are not used nearly often enough as an option

  8. I always use spinach instead of lettuce. For a classic fast food smash burger, ok u def want the lettuce crunch. But for homemade slightly classier burgs, spinach is a great elevated spin. Do the same with tacos and sandwiches.

I added some truffle mousse to one of mine the other day (chicken liver, pork, and turkey, from Alexian pate), just because I had some left over and thought it may be good. It was DELICIOUS. Idk how just a little smear of meat paste can make such a difference, but it genuinely elevated the entire burger. It was just a burger, sharp white cheddar, the mousse, and a sprinkle of sauerkraut.

Horseradish and pineapple. Not on the same burger though

The blood of my enemies…or a fried egg

idk if it counts as unique but avocado 🥰🥰

Pepper jelly is great on a wild game/lean beef burger. They have a tendency to be dry and the pepper jelly counteracts any slight gaminess

  14. not sure if this counts, but when I make a burger, I always mix in some maple syrup. Between the taste and the caramelization when grilled, it makes the difference for me. As far as toppings, I go the simple route, Ketchup and mustard (Sierra Nevada Pale Ale mustard), bacon and maybe some avocado, cheese (variety always changes, but usually smoked provolone or gouda.

  15. I had honey and whipped goats cheese the other day I. London, absolute madness… amazing.

    Hollandaise.

Not that unusual but it’s amazing

I had burger last week with chimichurri sauce and it was excellent. I look forward to ordering that burger again.

I recently started topping my burgers with pesto. Specifically, the stuff sold at Costco that comes in that 16-ounce jar. It’s surprisingly good!

  19. Peanut butter, pineapple, bacon, cilantro, and Sriracha. It’s the peanut butter Thai burger!
