    Nah, that’s a great medium. Pink throughout, possibly a bit of red in the center. Great temp.

    It seems like opinions are split between medium and medium rare, but I think this has more to do with the lighting and how people are perceiving it based on the plate coloring. I think it is medium rare, but I think I am getting thrown by the shade of the plate as logically I think it is white and so my brain is adjusting for what it expects medium rare to look like under that assumed lighting… However, if you do not adjust for that, it may seem more medium.

    I hope I am explaining well, but it reminds me of the black and blue or white and gold dress, and mostly because you seem to think it is too rare, but no one else seems to think it is that lose to rare.

    Regardless, it looks like an excellent steak

    No. It’s medium. I don’t get why people say medium-rare, either. There’s nothing rare about this, it’s literally a uniform pink color. Medium rare needs to be…rare in the middle, slightly more red. This is uniformly medium.

    Looks med rare+. My only complaint
    Would be you need a harder sear on it. Better crust.
