I did not use enough food coloring in the first batch. The color was rather . . . sad. I added more food coloring the second time around and I am much more pleased. The recipe is from Sugar Spun Run. The cookies are stored in the freezer in preparation for my community’s Juneteenth event. Two different cookies down, one more to go. I was considering a double batch of Lemon Sugar Cookies to add to the Strawberry Cookies and the Chocolate Chip Cookies I already baked.

    My family uses this to make Neapolitan sugar cookies. We make three batches of sugar cookie dough, then combine while making dough balls with 1/3 of each type.

    Where do you get freeze dried strawberry powder? I saw another recipe or two that called for it, but i don’t think I’ve seen it at the store. Maybe I just didn’t look in the right place lol

  4. I used freeze dried strawbs in an icebox sugar cookie recipe, it was bombbbbb. I’m all about these freeze dried babies now.
