Backstory: yesterday I cooked real “Old Fashioned Oats”, but I made too much: “I wonder if oats will keep for a day in the fridge?” I wondered.

Well: pictured above is the leftover COLD oats (with berries and yogurt, and let me just say: the oats held up beautifully!!!

We were LIED TO as kids: given mushy, overprocessed oats, sugar laden oatmeal, and JUNK

A true oat is as springy and substantial as barley or brown rice!!!!

I’m 40 years old and feel like I just met OATS for the first time!!!!

Real oats and also Irish oatmeal are life changing. Love them.

I’d recommend steel cut oats if you like texture.

I still use rolled oats for baking, but steel cut for oatmeal.

Because steel cut oats take longer to cook, I regularly made like 4 servings at a time for the week.
