I like my burgers how I like my women. Without someone’s pickle in it.

Pickles shouldn’t be a default burger topping just like jalapeños shouldn’t. They hijack the flavor profile of the whole burger. A burger with pickles should be called a pickle burger, just like a jalapeño burger is usually listed on the menu as a jalapeño burger.

Ummm, plenty of doubt for me on that statement.

Meh. I like pickles, but can do without on my burger. Roasted Hatch green chile is a must for me.

  6. I personally think it has to have good meat or it’s a fail regardless of what toppings you use. In the meat has to be cooked right and seasoned right. As far as toppings though the pickle was definitely one of the Main Factors.

I hate pickles just as much as yellow mustard! Fight me!

Overstatement and that’s coming from a pickle lover, but this burger looks absolutely sensational

Pickles steal the taste buds from the beef and seasoning. I never put pickles on a burger or request that they be taken off.

  10. I say this about falafel! I judge a place based on pickle.

I know this is a burger subreddit, but I must say, the pickles true culinary destiny is in defining a good fried chicken sandwich.

good post, not because I agree with you, rather its quite the opposite. Ive had a lot of burgers and I know its common to put pickles in burgers, but Im not on that team. Its a curious case for me and i really want to understand it. maybe its one of those palate things that can change with age. Im still waitibg for the transition for pickles.

  13. You are welcome to your opinion, I’ll keep ordering no pickles
