My phone camera does not have the best quality, but these are some of the things I've baked over the past year! I've always loved baking, but I'd say that over the past year, I've really started to consistently bake. Although that sadly means cleaning up as well. I really love it, my gifts to my friends are always some kind of baking, and I just really like people getting to eat what I've made and enjoying it. I know some of them definitely aren't perfect, so any advice would be appreciated!

  1. Unfilled choux pastries with craquelin (I filled them with the same custard you would put in Portuguese custard tarts and raspberry jam)

  2. Vanilla cupcakes that I decorated with my new piping set, it was the first time I ever piped icing. All the other cupcakes that I have photos of, I iced using a spoon.

  3. Lemon blueberry loaf, and the greenery on top is rosemary.

  4. Lemon meringue pie, my first time ever making shortcrust pastry.

  5. Loaded cookies, brown butter chocolate chip cookies with caramel and an almond praline crunch.

  6. Hot cross bun inspired cinnamon rolls.

  7. Percy Pig cupcakes, pink vanilla cupcakes with vanilla buttercream (Yes, I iced them with a spoon)

  8. Gluten free chocolate cake for my brother's birthday.

  9. Lemon tart.

  10. My first 'big' cake, gluten free white chocolate cake with raspberry rose buttercream and a white chocolate ganache drip (Sadly I put too much food dye in it)

  11. Afghans.

  12. Oreo cheesecake.

  13. Chocolate cupcakes with caramilk icing (Also iced with a spoon, but I still liked the way it looked)

  14. Gluten free raspberry white chocolate cheesecake for my dad's birthday.

I love how different cooking and baking can be for people. I’m 16 and prefer baking breads (actually made bagels just tonight). I also absolutely love cooking! Who knew that learning how to cut my first chicken breast at 12 could turn into hopefully a life long hobby of many different foods.

Nice job, dude. You need to work on setting timers with rise times when making cinnamon rolls. If you rush it, they’re too dense. Rise, wait, roll, wait, bake.
