Been in NYC for 2 years and have been to 250 restaurants. Will be leaving in a week and thought I’d share my list.

Obviously missing huge swaths of the city. Harlem, Bronx, most of Queens, Staten Island. The only one on the upper east side is now closed.

But I feel like I hit a lot of the best the city had to offer. I plan on hitting up a couple of my favorites this weekend before I ship out on Monday.

I love this city and I hope I can come back and live here again some day. Maybe next time in Queens or Harlem so I can try more delicious food.

And [here](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1PKa0Emex4Q_qd0_ocgit9QEHEwmFv5L6wuXXSsbqFPY/edit?usp=sharing) is the list in excel format.

i’ve been here for 10 and i don’t think i even come close to 250…props to you! good luck with your move!

  5. Respect. This is a New Yorker’s list – lots of neighborhood joints and more under the radar stuff alongside institutional spots. As you said it’s not comprehensive by any means but cool to see nonetheless!

Whats your go to in Bay Ridge? I’m surprise you didn’t try Thanh Đa, is the locals favorite spot (better than Ba Xuyên).

  7. Seeing Pho Hoai get rated as “bad” hurts my heart – it was the first place I tried Vietnamese food, and my go to spot for a while – but about 20 years ago lol

I need to go back soon for the sake of memories

2/20/23 – Should be Roll n Roaster (listed as Rock n Roaster)

Also, you should try Brennan and Carr before you leave!

Nothing in Flatbush 🧐 you scared bruh?

Thank you. This is generous and a good resource. I used to work downtown but have been in Midtown now hybrid for six months. This list is helpful.

  11. Deez2Yoots

I’m glad you gave Ayat an “excellent” rating. Anything less than that would have invalidated all your other scores IMO.

  12. Thanks for the list! For Time Out Market and Queens Night Market, we don’t know where you actually ate. Which station did you pick that was just good? Surely you didn’t try everything… also you really missed out on Queens. Some of the best food in the city is there.

The fine dining is sending me. But this is awesome. Thanks for sharing!

  14. Fraunces Tavern listed as fine dining is amusing…since that was just the after work pub when I worked in the financial district years ago.

    Good list, thanks for sharing.

Aska will probably have an open reservation. Would recommend you ending your time in NYC there.

thanks so much! Cannot believe you have it this organized. Two questions 1. Where are you leaving to, 2. Are you happy about leaving?
