Wildair sometimes sells cinnamon rolls alongside their Saturday doughnuts and they had a chocolate one I absolutely loved. Their rolls are crispy and laminated. Here is the cinnamon roll but the Saturday I went there, it was drizzled with dark chocolate. I've been thinking about it ever since but haven't been able to get it again as what they offer always changes and they always sell such a limited amount that im usually cut off at buying 3. They also tend to change the flavors that even if they have rolls it would be some other flavor like tiramasu, cherry almond, malted milk and concord grape, that im not even sure when i'll see the chocolate one again.
Anyone aware of a place that sells rolls similar to Wildair's? Honestly, I wish they would release their recipe like they did for the dough for their doughnuts since I can't always expect to be there for the 15 minutes it would be available for.
edit: Found the chocolate roll. Not sure if anyone else in the city has something similar.

supreme at lafayette might be similar
wish i could help, but i stopped going to wildair for pastries since they only make like a dozen at a time, you can’t buy them online, and i hate showing up after they’re sold out.
have you tried lappartement 4f? they use croissant dough, and i thought it was delicious. there is not as much frosting as the one you showed (based on appearance solely), but i thought it was one of my faves.
