No. THIS is the best burger in Chicago (and the world). Au Cheval.
It’s even better than it looks.

I highly recommend everyone tries it! I haven’t tried the NYC location because it wasn’t open last time I was in NY, so I can’t vouch for that one.

Looks good, that’s some thick bacon

Au chit, those are some fighting words…don’t say the world when you have not traveled the world.

It was good. But I’ve had better for half the price.
megaeggplantkiller
how much did this cost?
Chippers4242
Maybe without the egg.

I don’t know why, but I’ve never enjoyed egg in my burger. My wife and my brother like it but I’ve never enjoyed it. Same with mayo in a burger.

Holy shit I’m inclined to agree. The cook on that pork belly looks incredible.

I’m sure it’s good, but not for me

To each their own, but kindly, hell na, give me a greasy smash over this every day

I’ve had it before but still think shake shack is better

I’d definitely try that. It looks great. That said, I’ll take my five guys with Mayo, hot sauce, lettuce and shrooms everyday
Not to discount this, but since I can’t have it my availability craving hit.

It’s not In N Out Burger though

I’ve had Au Cheval. In Chicago. No, it’s not the best at all. If anything mine was way too salty. I think my ‘best’ award would go to Hamburger America in NYC, Oklahoma-style smashburger. Best gourmet would have to be Burgerology’s Proton Burger: A super thick patty topped with roasted portabello, gruyere cheese, lettuce, truffle mayo.

$30. For a burger.
If I can’t recreate that myself for a fraction of that cost, I wasn’t destined to have it.

It doesn’t even look like a burger. It looks like a breakfast sandwich.

Not the best but definitely good. They have good selection of beers too. Overall it’s 7.5/10

This looks delicious, but you need to do a lot more searching if you’re confident this is “the best.”

Bacon doesn’t belong on a burger. It’s too strong of a flavor that takes away from the beef.
Accomplished_Check38
It does look good. But how can such an obscure burger be the best?

Sex on a plate! My favorite burger of all time. Absolutely divine.
