First time cooking a tomahawk. USDA Prime bone on ribeye from a local butcher shop. Took it home, salted it, left at room temp for about an hour. Preheat oven to 225, baked on a rack for 45 min. Removed to hot charcoal grill for 1-2 min per side. Rest 15 min. Experience was 8.5/10 (more of a strip person).

Wow, that’s a long handle! A bit too much center fat for me, Your cooking result is great! Hopefully, the good fuzzy children got the bone.

Still can figure out why people buy tomahawks. Just get a bone in ribeye.
