Very excited to finally have a bottle of this Champange for my wife's birthday.
Been reading a bit about Bouchard's champagnes and this lived up to hype.
Complex and vineous. Reminded me a bit of a white burgundy went to the Cote de Bar, let loose and got funky.

Some citrus notes, shortbread, nougat and red berries with plenty of minerality and lift from the hightend acidity. It being 100% PN and zero dosage works so great here in this generous style.
My wife noted that it remained her of the orange jelly in a jaffacake.
The natural lean came a bit more into focus after the wine was open for a bit and started to develop. Towards the end of the meal, a little swimmingpool and wood varnish started to appear. But only to add further complexity and it didn't detract from the enjoyment.

Very unique and exciting and a total steal to find on a wine list for $140 (tax and tip included).

Jaffa cake vibes are neat! I’ll have to look for this one.

$150 on a list is a great find these days but it wasn’t so long go I was buying these and pulling corks willy-nilly because they were $50-60ish off the shelves
