It’s just white/clear stuff on the top. To me it looks more like something related to sugar than mold but I just want to make sure. Don’t wanna throw it out just in case

There are several questions that really need answers.
Is this home canned marmalade? What recipe was used? How has it been stored and for how long?
These types of products can mold if not stored properly or after several months. If this is sugar crystallization then it would be hard crystals. Mold will be more soft and/or slimy.
If you are unsure then it may be better to toss it and be safe especially when it is a rather small amount.

Need the microscope slides and photos from that to tell from here for certain. Best have a lab take a sample and grow, but by the time that is done, usually it’s gone bad.
