This best apple crisp recipe is really easy and makes the house smell wonderful. Great with vanilla ice cream!

[Music] hi welcome back to barbecue my way I am making one of our favorite fall desserts which is apple crisp and I have already peeled the apples I have uh you want to get a nice crisp and sweet tart apple a little bit of tartness is really good for apple crisp so right now I’m just quartering or having them actually and uh removing the seeds and then I am going to slice them up we need about six cups of sliced [Music] apples we’re sprinkling Some Sugar on our apples just brings out a little bit of sweetness just about tablespoon on top I use a lot more apples than it calls for I mean it’s apple crisp so you want a lot of apples next for the topping this is the crisp part and it’s really simple half a cup of oats don’t use the quick cooking because they don’t have enough texture half a cup of the brown sugar and about a/4 of a cup of flour white flour we’re going to mix those together with some cinnamon about a half teaspoon and about a half teaspoon of nut mix going get those brown sugar lumps out of there okay you’re adding a half a stick of butter room temperature you think mhm I’ll let it stay at room temperature or get to room temperature and then you’re basically just cutting the butter into your mixture and that’s what makes the crumbs just kind of mush it around and when P sized little chunks up here you know that that’s your crisp and then we’re going to sprinkle that on [Music] top okay we’re going to do the little Switcheroo here so you can see this and the you can tell that this is nice and crumbly and you just basically going to sprinkle that on [Music] top we’re going to move the process along and hands are the best kitchen tools all right into the oven all right we’re putting it in the oven 375 for about 30 to 35 minutes or until bubbly [Music] a [Music]
