My partner recently returned to the USA from a trip to Japan and brought back this bottle of oyster liquid from Hiroshima without knowing exactly what it is. I tried translating the label and it says that it’s a soup base, but it doesn’t have any instructions on how to use it. Could anyone please tell me how this stuff is supposed to be used? Thank you in advance! 🙂

it’s shiro dashi – light colored soup base. u can use it for a soup base for hot noodles (udon, soba). taste it first to gauge how strong it is. then add water to dilute to make the soup.
it would also work for a dip for cold noodles (udon, soba, soumen). it would need to be diluted but not as much as you would for the hot soup.
it can also be used for braising meat and veggies.
So many questions???
