For most of my life I would order a Cheeseburger sub from my local gas station/sub place. One day they accidentally must have heard cheesesteak instead of cheeseburger and made it wrong. It was like an epiphany. The flavors and meat and bread were all perfectly balanced, it was the best sub I ever had from them. Haven’t ordered a cheeseburger sub since. Looks delicious OP.

I love the lettuce. It’s gotta have lettuce, right? So there’s one very small, very sad leaf of lettuce occupying 0.00001% of the width of this sandwich. (And the tomato, too. Who needs a tomato on this? But it’s practically obligatory.)
You know what I’ve never tried, though? I wonder if anyone makes a chopped cheese with bacon added — like a chopped bacon cheeseburger. I should ask my guys if they can do that.
