CHRIS’S APPLE CRUMBLE TART

Stewed Apples

800g of cubed apple
6 tbsp of sugar
2 tbsp of cornstarch/cornflour
Juice of half a lemon

You’ll need about 7-8 decent sized apples for this

The Pastry

250g/2 cups of plain flour
30g/ 1/3 cup of almond flour
75g/ 2/3 cup of Icing sugar
130g/ 1 stick + 1 tbsp of unsalted butter
1 egg

If you want to avoid the pastry shrinking at the sides bake blind for 10 minutes with parchment paper on top and fill with dry beans or rice. After 10 minutes remove and bake for another 5 minutes

Keep the leftover pastry cool in the fridge as this can be used to go on top.

The crumble. 1/4 of this recipe should be enough

150g / 1 1/4 cups of Plain Flour
85g / 3/4 stick of Cold Butter
50g / 1/4 cup of Light Brown Muscovado Sugar

I ran out of time but you can serve this with whipped cream, custard, ice cream or…all three!

morning folks what’s the story Chris over here in Denmark I just want to do a quick uh apple tart so I’ve got 800 G here H we’re going to Stew this 800 G of chopped Apple try and get a green apple Granny Smith Bramley coconut apples whatever you can get here we go you want to build six tablespoons of sugar corn starch which is also known as corn flour and the juice of half a lemon cover with a lid and we’re going to simmer this for about 10 minutes just give it the okay oral store should be Grant all right this is our tart pan lined with some sweet shr pastry I’ve added a bit of almond flour to that to give it a bit of taste um I’m going to stick that in the description here but you can see the full process in the video link which you can also find in the post above okay here’s our apple filling we just want this to cool down before we put it into the tart and I’m going to stick this out soy to let it cool it’s a bit cold out today so that’s Grant now our baked pastry has cooled down have to be quick here have to get to work we’ve got our apple filling as well that’s Grand I’m just going to dust the top with a bit of cinnamon you don’t have to do this now but we like a bit of cinnamon here in the house stick this to the side left over pastry little need bit of flow it’s like the end of Mario in a rush no we want this to be 25 cm in diameter rid of excess flour pizza Cooter I’m just going to do a few strips it’s up to yourself how thick you want these I just want six well you could do 10er ones if you want have more on hope to ourself I’m in a rush just in case some break side there really get your t a t press down in the middle press down here press them okay these are thin enough so they’ll bake quick right you go on a diagonal this way two three bit of egg wash this is optional just to give it a bit of color a crumble it’s up to yourself again how much you want to put on a few slivered almonds TR I want to just to you up to yourselves some people like almonds and some people love them right into the oven about a half an hour done all right there we go folks that looks absolutely brilliant right folks I’m just going to take this out it’s still actually warm War me hand a bit there there we go beautiful really cut a slice veryy quick Savage really going to be late for work see us after give that a go D see
