Strawberries are a must during Midsummer in Sweden, and I wanted to make a little twist on the classic midsummer cake so … I just baked my first ever tier cake, and made my first ever Swiss meringue buttercream! Filling is lemon curd and strawberries, the buttercream is flavored with lemon and elderflower (though I didn’t taste that in the end). I am immensely satisfied with the look of it, and my family and friends enjoyed it a lot. I have a little tweaking left to do in order to make it really, really nice but I am happy with my first ever cake of this caliber 🥰
